ADHD Evaluation in Nashua NH

ADHD affects attention, organization and impulse control in ways that can hold back school, work and relationships. A careful evaluation separates ADHD from look-alikes such as anxiety, sleep problems or learning differences, so treatment is aimed at the right target.

What an ADHD evaluation involves

  • A detailed history of symptoms from childhood to now
  • Standardized rating scales completed by you, and for children by parents and teachers
  • Screening for conditions that mimic or occur alongside ADHD, such as anxiety, depression, sleep disorders and learning issues
  • Review of previous testing or school records

Adults are welcome. Many adults are first diagnosed after a child"s diagnosis prompts them to recognize the same pattern in themselves.

Treatment options

Treatment is individualized. It may include behavioral strategies, parent training, school or workplace accommodations, and medication (stimulant or non-stimulant) when appropriate. Stimulant prescriptions require regular follow-up and follow New Hampshire prescribing rules.
