Staying well
Taking medication consistently, protecting sleep, avoiding cannabis and other drugs, and staying connected to school or work all lower the chance of relapse. We help patients set realistic goals and adjust treatment when side effects get in the way.
Emergencies
If someone may harm themselves or others, or cannot stay safe, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. If you or someone you care about is in immediate danger, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), available 24/7. PsychNashua does not provide emergency care.
Location
Our office is at 215 South Broadway (Route 28), Unit 129, in Salem, a few minutes from I-93 Exits 1 and 2. There is on-site parking, and the building is easy to find from Route 28 or from Pelham Road.
Frequently asked questions
Can psychosis be caused by drugs?
Yes. Cannabis, stimulants and other substances can trigger psychosis, and we screen for this.
Can family members come to visits?
Yes, with the patient's permission.
Is long-acting injectable medication available?
Your psychiatrist can discuss whether a long-acting option is appropriate.
Do you treat first-episode psychosis?
We evaluate and treat outpatients, and refer to specialized programs when that would serve the patient better.
