Outpatient treatment

Care includes a thorough evaluation, including medical and substance-related causes, antipsychotic medication chosen with the patient, regular monitoring of weight, blood sugar and cholesterol when required, and involvement of family and supports with consent. We coordinate with community mental health services when more intensive support is needed.

When to seek emergency care

If someone is at risk of harming themselves or others, or cannot stay safe, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. If you or someone you care about is in immediate danger, call 911.
