How we work with children and teens
Parents share the history first. The psychiatrist then spends time with the child, using conversation or play for younger children and private time for teens. With your permission we gather input from teachers, counselors and the pediatrician, and we build a plan that works at home and at school.

Supporting Pelham students
Families from Pelham Elementary, Pelham Memorial School and Pelham High School come to us when a child's struggles start to affect learning or friendships. With your consent we can share clinical information to support a 504 plan or IEP and suggest practical strategies for the classroom.
Pelham families often know their child's teachers well, which makes school input easier to gather. With permission we use those observations alongside our own assessment to build a plan.
Treatment for children
Plans are family-centered. They may include parent guidance, therapy referral, school recommendations and, only when likely to help, medication with careful monitoring and regular check-ins on growth, sleep and appetite.
Getting to us from Pelham
From Pelham, our Salem office is usually a 15-minute drive east along Route 38 or Route 111A. Telehealth is also available for Pelham residents who are in New Hampshire during the visit.
