Treatment for children
Plans are family-centered. They may include parent guidance, therapy referral, school recommendations and, only when likely to help, medication with careful monitoring and regular check-ins on growth, sleep and appetite.

Supporting Merrimack students
Families from Merrimack's elementary schools, Mastricola Upper Elementary, Merrimack Middle School and Merrimack High School come to us when a child's struggles start to affect learning or friendships. With your consent we can share clinical information to support a 504 plan or IEP and suggest practical strategies for the classroom.
Merrimack families with busy schedules often prefer an in-person first visit and video follow-ups after school. We keep parents involved at each step.
How we work with children and teens
Parents share the history first. The psychiatrist then spends time with the child, using conversation or play for younger children and private time for teens. With your permission we gather input from teachers, counselors and the pediatrician, and we build a plan that works at home and at school.
Getting to us from Merrimack
From Merrimack, our Salem office is about 35 to 40 minutes away by car. Most Merrimack patients combine one or more in-person visits with telehealth follow-ups from home.
